Caffeine, additives, preservatives sugar, salt, chocolate and read meats are often thought to cause food allergies. Arthritis sufferers are often advised to avoid alcohol and reduce intake of purine-rich foods, such as, beer, sardines in oil, fish roes, herring, anchovies, yeast, livers, kidneys, mushrooms, cauliflowers, spinach, asparagus, and legumes.
