Serving: 4 people

Ingredients: 1.) Sugar-200 gram
2.) Water: 250 ml
3.) Cinnamon: 2-3 pieces
4.) Cinnamon Powder: 1 table spoon
5.) Coconut in grated form: 150 gm
6.) Milk: 750 ml
7.) Egg: 4
8.) Nuts and Cherries: 50 gram for decoration and icing.


Take a pan and pour the water as per the measurement. Add the sugar and the cinnamon pieces to it and bring it to a boil on high flames. Now lower the flame and allow it to boil for around 5-6 minutes. Now add the grated coconut and cinnamon powder to this mixture and let it boil for around five to six minutes. In the meanwhile you keep stirring this mixture in order to avoid formation of lumps.

Now its time to add the milk. While you do so stir the mixture well and keep doing so unless it becomes thick in nature. The mixture is ready. Remove it from the flames and let it cool in the room temperature.

Take a separate bowl and blend the egg well in it. Now light your oven and place the coconut mixture on it again. Its time to add the egg now and so while you do so make sure that you stir the mixture very well otherwise the eggs might get scrambled. Keep stirring unless it is as thick as the custard. However, in order to prevent scrambling of the eggs avoid cooking on high flames. Now once the mixture is thick you now that it is done.

Remove it from the flames and garnish it with the nuts and cherries. Bring it to the room temperature first and then refrigerate it for some time. Now serve it cold as you cinnamon coconut custard is ready.
