Cook rice

Instructions to prepare curd rice

Add 1 spoon of full of mustard seeds. You can hear to the mustard seeds making sounds and turning black. Allow it to become completely black. If it is still red in color, it will be bitter to taste.

So wait till it becomes black but don’t allow it to char. Add Bengal gram dhal and urad dhal 1 spoon each. Add chilies to taste. Add a very little amount of asafetida- Hing.

Now switch off the stove. Add the cooled and cooked rice to this. Also add salt to taste, coriander leaves which are cut and mix it with equal amount of curd and milk.

I suggested equal amount of curd and milk because if you put only curd, the dish turns sour within no time. Add Pomegranate and white grapes to this. Leave this for 1 hour and it. This curd rice really tastes awesome.

Now switch off the stove. Add the cooled and cooked rice to this. Also add salt to taste and coriander leaves which are cut. Your coconut rice is ready.
