Eat slowly

Most of us due to our hectic schedules pay very little attention to what we eat or how we eat. In a hurry we usually grab whatever we can and just gulp down the food without chewing it properly. Do not do this rather, sit and eat your food properly as this will help your body’s enzyme secretion leading to a healthy body. And this way you will be able to enjoy what you eat and consume less, as you will be conscious of what you are eating.

Avoid large meals

Eat small meals at regular intervals as this will increase the body’s metabolism rate and will provide you with the requisite energy. Eating a large meal may induce lethargy and you might feel sleepy after such a meal.

Choose the right Food

Choose low fat, whole grain food. Add brown bread, pastas, and cereals made with 100% whole grain to your diet to gain the goodness of whole grain food.

Eat fresh vegetables and dairy products

Eating green leafy vegetables, milk, eggs, fruits and cottage cheese increases the body’s immunity level. So, include these in your diet plan to fight against diseases and give your body the energy to do so.

Consume less of coffee

We tend to consume endless number of cups of coffee while we are working. This is a very bad habit as the caffeine in the coffee is very harmful for the body. Drinking coffee, frequently, dehydrates the skin and can leave it lifeless. You could instead go for green tea, which is a good source of antioxidants.

Drink ample amount of water

Drinking less amount of water can lead to dehydration that may result in joint pain, cramps, headaches etc. Keep a bottle of water with you all the time and consume at least 7-8 glasses of water everyday.

Consume less of cigarette and alcohol

Even if you cannot totally stop doing so you can easily cut down on your alcohol and cigarette consumption rate.

Get proper rest

This is very essential for your overall well-being. Therefore try to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night. No matter how much work you need to finish do not forget to relax in between, as this will rejuvenate you and help you work better.
