Cooking Time: More than an hour

Ingredients:

A cup of cold water;

A beaten egg;

A cup of flour;

2 tsp dry white wine;

2 tsp mirin (alternatively- 2tsp dry white wine, 1 tsp sugar,

¼ cup of soy sauce, freshly grated ginger);

1 tsp dashi-no-moto;

Sliced eggplant;

Sliced onions;

Sliced carrots;

Green pepper;

Broccoli;

Green onions;

Zucchini;

Small mushrooms;

Beans, halved;

Butternut squash sliced;

Snow pea pods;

Lengthwise halved okra;

Peeled or whole shrimp;

Bite sized scallops;

Sliced squids

Method Of Preparation:

1. Using cold water (about 40F) is a must.

2. In a bowl, whisk the cold water, egg and the flour together. Use only cold water otherwise the mixture will turn sticky.

3. Boil the dashi-no-moto in a cup of water for 3-4 minutes.

4. Add the rest of the ingredients- white wine and mirin- once the dashi is boiled.

5. Heat the oil for deep frying.

6. Dredge the fish and vegetable pieces into four before dipping into batter. The more fine sliced are the vegetables; the more quickly it will get fired.

7. Serve with rice or tentsuyu.

European Style Pizza Recipe

Cooking Time: almost an hour

Ingredients:

4 ½ cups of flour;

2 tbsp sugar;

2 tbsp yeast;

1 tsp olive oil;

¾ cup of water;

A cup of milk;

Salt to taste

Method Of Preparation:

1. Heat the mixture of water, salt, sugar and milk to 110 degree Fahrenheit.

2. Add the yeast and give some minutes for it to develop.

3. Pour this previously made mixture, along with oil and flour into a mixer and mix for 8-10 minutes.

4. Cover the mixture with a damp towel or plastic.

5. After some time, take the dough out into a leveled surface.

6. Divide into 3 portions and let it stay as it is.

7. Then, turn them into the shape of pizza bread.

8. Place it in a baking pan but no extra flour.

9. Add the toppings of choice.

10. Preheat the oven to 500 degree Fahrenheit and cook the pizza for 8 minutes or till golden brown.
