How To Enjoy Summer Dates & Great Summer Date Ideas » Summer Dates: Great IdeasPlanning on taking your girlfriend out on a date this summer? Here are a few really cool places you can hang out at that would enable you to enjoy the date in addition to battling the scorching heat of the summer sun.

The best place to unwind and relax during the summers would be the beach. Of course, you don’t want to go to the beach in the afternoon lest you want to get sunstroke. Opt for early morning or late evening visits to a nearby beach.

Beaches: If your girl is the lovey dovey type, walk hand in hand with her along the shore as the sun sets. You can also proclaim your love for her by writing a poem in the sand or building a sand castle for her.

If your girlfriend is the more adventurous type, opt for water sporting activities instead and there are hordes of interesting options to choose from. You can go boating, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, wake boarding or boogie boarding. The high energy and adrenaline pumping action is sure to bring you closer together.

Amusement Parks: The next best option on a hot summer day would be to take your girlfriend to an amusement park. And if it is one that doubles as a water park, the better!

Amusement parks are great places to have loads of fun and you can have a whale of a time together on the land and water rides. Make sure to take along plenty of sunscreen though!

Picnics and Camps: This is a tested and proved method to get you closer to your girlfriend. The saying goes, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.

The same holds true for girls and if you know how to cook, there’s nothing better than preparing a sensuous and at the same time, scrumptious meal for your girl.

Take her to a park or a beautiful picnic spot nearby. Find a secluded spot under the shade and spread out your creations. Use real plates, glasses, utensils and napkins as plastic tends to give a dull look to the ambience. Choose a pretty blanket and top of the meal with a good bottle of wine.

If both of you love the outdoors, opt to take your girl on a camping trip. Throw in a couple of dresses, accessories, eatables and of course, mosquito repellent into a duffel bag and you are ready to go. As the night grows near, snuggle up to each other in front of a cozy campfire.

Movies: If your girl likes going to movies, take her to a good cinema theater to watch a movie together. Drive in theaters are not that popular anymore but can be quite fun places to hang out at.

You can bring along your own drinks and pop corn and snuggle up to each other in the vehicle as you watch the movie. The best part of it all is that no one is going to restrict your screams, giggles or laughter at a drive in.

Icecreams: Summers and ice creams go hand in hand. Take your girl to a really popular ice cream parlor and let her choose her favorite flavor. You can also opt to order a pack, take it to a nearby park and eat it together.

Outdoor concerts: Outdoor concerts are very popular in summer and you can probably check if there are any such concerts playing nearby. You can quickly grab some tickets, take your girlfriend along and have a gala time, singing and dancing into the night.

Walks: If you want an excuse to just spend some time with her, take her on a walk to a park. You can also take a walk through some really beautiful nature trails or around the city itself.

It pays to bring along her dog if she has one. Just hold hands as you walk along, talking about your interests and dreams and lo behold! Before you know it, you will be chatting away like love birds lost in their own world.

Drives: Take her for a drive on the outskirts of the city. Choose a really scenic and winding road to drive through, get your car ready (borrow your friend’s car if you don’t have one) and let some of that breeze in by rolling down the windows and opening the top. You can stop by some interesting locations for breaks in between.
