Tips to Treat Heat Rashes

Things required
•   Lotion
•   Baking Soda – little
•   Dry Oatmeal – ½ cup
•   Mild Soap/ Cleanser – 1 tsp.
•   Cotton Clothing
•   Dry Cotton Towels – 2
•   Antihistamine

Method

•   Initially, get away from the area that is prone to heat and select shade/ fan/ air conditioner.

•   Focus the area that has been damaged by the rash to air, so that it dries correctly.

•   Now, with the help of a mild soap or cleanser, clean the area.

•   Wash the area correctly and take a cotton towel to pat dry. Be sure not to scrub it with the towel.

•   If you have been experiencing irritation in the area, softly use calamine lotion all over it.

•   Another choice to heal the itch is to take a baking soda bath. Fill water in your bath tub and mix 3 tbsp. of baking soda in it. Soak yourself for 15 to 20 minutes, wash and pat dry.

•   You can alternatively take an oatmeal bath to relieve irritation. Grind 1 cup of dry oatmeal in a mixer and put into bath water. Soak yourself for 15 to 20 minutes, wash and pat dry.

•   If your irritation has not gone away with the above treatments also, you can take an antihistamine also.

•   Be sure to wear loose cotton clothing.

•   Always apply mild detergents to rinse clothes. This is because the chemicals in hard ones can further irritate the rash.

•   Until the rash goes away entirely, try to stay away from heat as much as possible.

•   In case your rash does not go away even after the above treatment, it is better to consult a doctor.
