Fitness experts recommend a combination of aerobics and strength training as the best way to get rid of excess body fat. Aerobics will improve your metabolism so that you metabolize fat more efficiently; while the strength training will do the same to increase your muscle mass and decrease the excess fat.

Do Sit-ups Correctly

If you feel that doing abdominal exercises such as sit-ups should be a part of your daily routine, you should do it in the way recommended by many fitness trainers. Lie down on your back with your legs at a 45 degree angle and your hands behind your head. Moving your torso forward as in a crunch, touch your left kneecap with your right elbow. Repeat this bicycling movement alternately, left elbow to right kneecap and right elbow to left kneecap for a set of ten. Rest for a count of ten and continue with another set until you feel tired.
