Milk contains a nutrient called tryptophan which undergoes metabolism when it enters the human body. After the process, the tryptophan gets converted to mood boosting serotonin which is extremely helpful in calming down the mind and heart to a great extent.

In addition to this, milk is high in calcium, potassium and magnesium content which in turn help in maintaining the body’s blood pressure levels.

Green tea on the other hand is an abundant source of theanine, a nutrient that plays an essential role in increasing the output of alpha waves (which induce relaxation) and decreasing the output of beta waves (which induce tension and stress).

Hot Cocoa: If nothing seems to work for you, just sit back with a cup of hot cocoa and soothe your nerves as the hot chocolate spreads warmth throughout your body (raises the body temperature). Once you start feeling warm, your body will automatically send appropriate signals to your brain, indicating that you are more comfortable now.
