Another valuable vitamin that helps in curing ulcers is Vitamin C. It helps producing protein in the body. It also helps in the maintenance of the structure of the muscles. Foods rich in vitamin C are orange, tomato, asparagus, lemon, peach, beans, cabbage, strawberry, melon, kiwi, chicken, liver, mussels, beef, peas, pumpkin, potatoes, pork, clams, cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper, Brussels sprouts, white potatoes okra, chard, artichoke, onion, papaya, blackberry, blueberry and raspberry.

Vitamin E rich foods again work wonders for ulcer patients. Food rich in vitamin E are- green vegetables, soybean oil, sardines, corn oil, egg yolk, hazelnut, wheat germ oil, peanuts etc.

Zinc rich food helpful for treating ulcer are pumpkin seeds, peas, whole grains, walnut, yoghurt, peanut butter, chickpeas, fig, raisin and orange.It must always be remembered that spicy, oily and junk food is extremely bad for a person suffering from ulcers. Excess of sugar, salt and fatty foods can cause serious problems in the patient.

In a nutshell, a light diet taken with lots of liquids is great for a person suffering from ulcers.
