The skin remains smooth and supple if one can follow the skincare routine daily. So, it is essential that we grow good skincare habits. Here are a few special good skin habit tips in that direction:

Regular cleansing:

Cleansing is a must for the basic care of skin. There are a few things that are to be kept in mind while doing so. Never forget to clean your face before going to sleep at night and use a cleanser that suits your skin type. Do not use hot water for cleansing. It would also do a lot better if you could avoid taking very long baths as these destroy the oil balance of the skin. Also avoid using strong soaps.

Use a moisturiser regularly:

A moisturizer helps to maintain the moisture balance of our skin. The kind of moisturizer that we use depends on the skin type, our age, and complexities, if any, of the skin. Many who have oily skin do not understand if they need to apply a moisturizer. In that case it would be best to wait for 10 minutes after bath to see if the skin feels dry. Then it would indicate the need to apply one.

Protection against ultra-violet rays:

Over-exposure to sunlight can result in spots, dryness and appearance of lines on the skin. Therefore, it would be best to protect oneself from the harsh rays of the sun by using a sunscreen that gives complete sun protection. Use a sunscreen having SPF 15 and apply it at least 20 minutes before going out in the sun and reapply it every 2-3 hours.

Exercise facial muscles:

This is another essential thing that will ensure a toned look. You can exercise the skin muscles by blowing out a candle or chewing a gum. Alternatively you can also get a facial massage done every few months.

Get adequate amount of sleep:

The skin loses its bright and healthy look due to stress so, try to get 6-7 hours of sleep ever night. You could also massage the area under the eye using almond oil every night before going to sleep.
