There are many ways of making a facial scrub at home.

Facial scrub with essential oil
Grind two to three teaspoons of raw oats. Add honey and ¼ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the grounded oat to make a thick paste. Put a drop of basil oil to the paste. Instead of basil oil, you could add almond oil or tea tree oil.

First, wash your face and pat it dry with a soft towel. Now apply this paste gently on the face in a circular motion. Do not apply the scrub on the eye area. Leave the paste on your face to dry. After the paste dries, wash your face with lukewarm water.

Orange facial scrub
Take two tablespoon of dried orange peel. Mix it with two teaspoon of oatmeal and two tablespoon of cold water to make a thick paste. Apply the paste all over your face, save the eye area, in gentle circular strokes. Leave the paste to dry on your face. When the paste becomes partially dry, remove it by gently scrubbing your face. Finally wash your face with tepid water.

Fruit facial scrub
You could use a number of fruits to make a good facial scrub. You could mash half of a banana or half of an avocado or crush a few strawberries. To the mashed fruit, add one-tablespoon honey and two tablespoon of yogurt or sour cream. Apply this paste on your face and leave it to dry. After the paste become partially dry, scrub your face gently to remove the paste. Finally wash your face with water.
