Start taking good care of your eyes so that they are able to withstand the pressure that you are putting on them. Today I will discuss some tips to help you keep your vision strong in spite of busy work schedules in front of the computer monitor.

When you are working for long hours in front of your machine make sure that the brightness of the computer screen is sync with the luminosity of the room you are working in. This will prevent extra pressure on your eyes. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen accordingly so that there is not much extra light on the screen as this will cause extra pressure on your eyes and will make them feel tired soon.

Refresh the screen in regular intervals to give some relief to your eyes. You should also take your eyes off the screen on regular intervals. Do not keep staring at the screen blankly when you are thinking something and is out of focus. This will cause extra pressure on them. Instead look elsewhere and let your eyes relax during the phase of your thinking.

Adjust the height of the screen accordingly so that it is not positioned at a stature that is higher than your eyes. The eyes are positioned to work in depressed convergence mode. Thus, respect that and keep the monitor in such a manner so that you need to look at it at a lower angle.

Take small breaks often in between work in order to give it some temporary relief. Walk away from your working area to open air or at least to some other place where you can feel a little relaxed. Drink some water and also wash your eyes with some water to feel refreshed.

One of the biggest measures that you can take is to wear a special pair of specs that is made to help you work on computers of long hours. Even if you do not have power in your eyes you can get one pair of such specs to help protect your eyes when you are working for long hours in front of the machine. Anti glaring screen should be another mandate to help your protect your vision.
