Here are few easy-to-make and tasty tuna curry recipes.

Tuna fish tomato curry

Ingredients:

1/2 kg of tuna fish
1/2 tablespoon of coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 tablespoon of chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 onion
1 tomato
salt to taste
Oil for cooking
Fresh coriander leaves

How to make:

Cut tuna fish small pieces. Mix it with little salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Heat oil in a vessel and add minced onion and tomato.

Once it is cooked until the onion is soft and tomato is pulpy, add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well.

Add enough water to make a gravy and add salt for taste. Cook it in a slow fire. Add the fish once the gravy is boiled well. Let it simmer in low heat for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.

Tuna curry

Ingredients:

1 can tuna
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 tablespoons of butter
1 cup sour cream
1 clove garlic
1 onion
1/3 cup of chopped green bell pepper
Salt for taste

Method of Preparation:

Melt butter in a pan and add minced onions, garlic and green pepper. Stir occassionally and cook until the onions are soft. Add tuna, sour cream, curry powder and salt. Heat until it is well cooked and serve.

Tuna Rice Curry

Ingredients:

4 cans tuna, drained and flaked
2 tablespoons curry, spice mix powder
1/2 tablespoon curry powder
1 onion, diced
2 tomatoes, diced
1/ cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons sugar
1 can coconut milk
2 tablespoons of oil
Salt for taste

How to make:

Heat oil in a pan and put tuna in and stir for a minute. Add the curry spice mix, curry, diced onion, paprika and salt. Keep stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until tuna is well-fried. Add tomatoes, sugar, lemon juice and coconut milk.

Stir well and cook until it simmers. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving. These simple, delicious recipes can be served with rice , basmati rice or tortilla wraps.
